
It is with a heavy heart that the family of Brent A. Johnson announces his passing on Friday, March 16th, 2018 at the age of 70.
He leaves his son, Nathan Johnson; his daughter, Melissa (Jeff) Sanderson; brother, Craig Johnson; sister-in-law, Katie Johnson; two grandchildren, Joshua (Katherine) and Jacob Bartlett; nephew, Liam Johnson; and niece, Mollie Johnson.
Born in Cambridge, Vermont, the son of Gerald and Henrietta Johnson, he would spend the majority of his life in the Green Mountain State. Brent's early years were primarily spent in Brandon, Vermont where he and his brother would assist their parents tending the family vegetable farm.
After graduating from Otter Valley Union High School, he would go on to serve as a Yeoman Third Class in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. With the conclusion of his service in the Navy, Brent began a career in telecommunications as a lineman and held multiple positions until retirement.
Throughout his life Brent always had a soft spot for dogs, love for the open road on a motorcycle, and a desire to live how he saw fit. He was a private man who experienced this world in its happy accidents and its hard lessons.
Mr. Johnson will be put to rest in Brandon, Vermont this spring.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home in Brandon.
