Viola Martha (Disorda) Austin

NEWPORT, NC/BRANDON, VT:

Viola Martha Austin, age 92, passed away September 1, 2021, at Pruitt-Health in Sea Level, NC.

She was born in Whiting on March 4, 1929, daughter of Perley Henry Disorda and Lula J. (Branch) Disorda of Sudbury VT. Viola married; Raymond Fuller Austin December 1, 1945 and they made their home in Brandon, VT raising their family. They later moved to Whiting, VT. Viola enjoyed picking apples, needlepoint, bingo and yard sales. She moved to Newport, NC in 2009 to be closer to family.

She is survived by a sister, Phyllis Bailey of Brandon VT, 5 daughters; Judy Rouse (Bill) of Newport NC, Peggy Popailo of Fair Haven VT, Diane Brown of Bristol VT, Debbi Quelch of Rutland VT and Terri Vines of Oakdale CA. She also has many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Raymond Sr, son Raymond Jr, infant daughter Darlene and daughter Joyce Humiston. Sisters; Jane Gove and Rachel Denis, Brothers Albert Disorda, James (Mickey) Disorda and Perley Disorda Jr, also predeceased her.

The graveside committal service and burial will take place, in the family lot, at Forest Dale Cemetery, at a later date and time to be announced.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home in Brandon.
