Susan Gertrude (Johnson) Delorm

Susan Gertrude Delorm, age 81, passed peacefully on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at her home in Brandon, with loved ones Diane and Renee.

Susan was born in Leicester on April 15, 1943.

She was the daughter of Marvin and Norma (Bird) Johnson. She grew up in Leicester where she received her early education and was at the top of her class at Brandon High School. Susan had worked in assembly for Dowty Electronics (Nexus) for more than 30 years. She retired in 2008. She was an avid reader, enjoyed working in her flower garden and deeply loved animals. 

Surviving are daughters; Elizabeth VanDusen of Middlebury, Katelyn Delorm of Rutland, and Diane Delorm of Brandon. Grandchildren Ross, Renee, Ian, Asaiah, and Rebekah. She was predeceased by her sister; Jane Severy.

Utmost appreciation and thanks are expressed to Susans granddaughter, Renee, for her unwavering care during her illness; also, Margaret and the entire Bayada Hospice team who were there for Susan in the end. Special family friend Melissa, and Susan's "extended kids" were a support network, and a stronghold for Diane during trialing times. All of Susan's closest friends from Nexus are fondly remembered, and hold a special place in the hearts of SueBob and NeeBob.

A private graveside committal service and burial will take place, at a later date.
