Robert George Rojecki, age 88, died June 4, 2025, at his home in Brandon.
Bob was born in Hempstead, NY on May 6, 1937. He was the son of Benjamin and Stella (Roszkowski) Rojecki, He grew up in Hempstead where he received his early education and graduated from Hempstead High School, class of 1955. Following graduation, he joined the United States Marine Corps and was stationed on the U.S.S. Antietam and U.S.S. Iowa. After his stint at sea, he was a rifle range instructor on Parris Island and served until his Honorable Discharge in 1961. He then earned his degree from the Long Island Institute of Technology, in Farmingdale, NY. He began his chosen career at Ever Ready Burner Supply on Long Island. He moved his family to Brandon in 1971 and worked a short while at Campbell Plumbing & Heating in Rutland. From 1972 until 1994 he owned and operated North Country Oil Burner Supply in Rutland. He afterwards worked for Hulburt’s Supply for several years before retiring.
He was a member of the Marine Corps League, Edson Detachment, in Rutland. He also instructed members of the rifle team, The Edson Shooters. Bob found enjoyment working in his expansive gardens and sharing his bountiful crops with family and friends.
He is survived by his son; Todd Michael Rojecki of South Burlington and one daughter; Tracey (Craig) Blanchet of Chelmsford, MA, 2 granddaughters; Chloe and Hailey. Several nieces, nephews & cousins also survive him. He was predeceased by 5 brothers; Edward, Theodore, Victor, Edmund, and Richard and 3 sisters; Elizabeth Bonczyk, Helen Rojecki and Jean Burt.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at 1 PM, at Our Lady of Good Help (St. Mary’s Church). Rev. Maurice Moreau, pastor will be the celebrant. The graveside committal service and burial; with Military Honors; will follow the mass, at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
