WHITING:
Robert Carroll Leno, age 83, passed peacefully; surrounded by family; on April 8, 2026, at his home in Whiting.
Bob was born in Forest Dale on December 28, 1942. He was the son of Emery and Darlene (Mayhew) Leno. He grew up in Forest Dale where he received his early education and attended Brandon high School. Following his education he joined the United States Army in 1963. He did a tour of duty in Vietnam. Receiving his honorable discharge in 1966 he returned home and began a working career in the grain business. He belonged to the Whiting Fire Department for over 30 years.
Surviving is his wife; Jeanne (Wilbur) Leno, two sons; Robert C. Leno Jr. (Penny Patterson) and Eric Leno (Tammy) all of Whiting. Two special grandchildren; Colton Leno (Rhiannan) and Brandi Leno (Zach), two great grandchildren; Noah and Hattie. His brother; Kenneth Leno (Carol) and his sister; Florence Currier all of Leicester.
The graveside committal service and burial, with Military Honors, will take place, on May 1, 2026, at 10 AM, in Mountain View Cemetery in Orwell. Following the ceremony the family will receive friends, at Brandon American Legion from 11 AM until 1 PM, for a time of remembrance.
Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers may be made, in his memory to; Whiting Volunteer Fire Department, Whiting First Response, or Addison County Home Health & Hospice.
