Pauline P. (Poljacik) Young

Pauline P. Young, age 90, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2021, at Rutland Regional Medical Center.

Pauline was born in Pittsford on March 24, 1931. She was the daughter of John and Mary (Funtgan) Poljacik. She grew up in Pittsford where she received her early education and graduated from Pittsford High School, class 1949. July 30, 1955, she married Max Horace Young, Jr in Brandon. They made their home in Brandon, where they raised their family. Pauline worked more than 27 years at General Electric in Rutland. She retired in 1990 as an inspector. She and her husband were avid golfers and belonged to the Neshobe Golf Club, where she had a hole in one. She and Max were always together, and did everything together. She had also been a member of the Neshobe Sportsman’s Club, where she and her husband had been very active. She was predeceased by her husband March 29, 2020. She was a member of Brandon American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Unit #55. She enjoyed gardening.

She is survived by her daughter; Lori Ann Young and her partner; Ron Preseau of Brandon and one brother; Paul Poljacik of Pittsford and 3 sister-in-law’s. Several nieces, nephews & cousins also survive her. She was also predeceased by her son; Ronald Max “Youngster” Young in 1995, five brothers and one sister also predeceased her.

The graveside committal service and burial will take place at a later date and time to be announced.
