RUTLAND CITY:
Paul Francis Proulx, age 84 passed peacefully, on Friday, December 8, 2023; surrounded by family; at his home in Rutland.
Paul was born in Ludlow on December 9, 1938. He was the son of Dallas and Elizabeth (Flynn) Proulx. He grew up in Ludlow where he received his education, in local Ludlow schools. He was a member of the Vermont National Guard from 1954 until 1955, and afterwards joined the United State Marine Corps. Following his discharge, he returned home and began a working career, in sales, at Godnicks Fine Furniture in Rutland. He retired in 1987, following 30 years of service. He has been a Rutland resident since 1961 moving here from Ludlow.
Surviving is his wife Mary Proulx of Rutland; whom he married June 27, 1961; his twin daughters; Patricia Proulx of Quechee, and Pamela Proulx of Killington. Several nieces, nephews & cousins also survive him. He was predeceased by his parents and three brothers; James, Richard, and Charles Proulx.
Friends may call at the Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home, in Brandon on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 from 4 until 6 PM. Immediately followed by the funeral service at 6 PM.
A private graveside committal service and burial will take place, at a later date, in the family lot, at Pine Hill Cemetery in Brandon.
