Patricia Mae Hornbeck, age 85, passed peacefully on December 13, 2023, at Porter Medical Center in Middlebury.
Patricia was born in Sudbury on June 21, 1938. She was the daughter of Charles and Marie (McIntyre) Hornbeck. She grew up in Sudbury where she received her early education and graduated from Middlebury High School, class of 1956. She further her education at Becker College where she earned her degree. She had worked as a Benefits Administrator for the State of Vermont for 41 years. Following retirement, she ran the Community House in Middlebury for several years. She belonged to Middlebury American Legion Unit 27 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening.
Surviving is her husband; Norman Grenier of Cornwall; whom she married June 7, 2011 in Salisbury; one daughter; Kristin Provost & her husband Teddy of Colchester, two sisters; Janice MacIntyre and Mickey Hornbeck. She was predeceased by her parents and three brothers; Ronald, Edward, and James Hornbeck, and her first husband; Richard Bullock.
The graveside committal service and burial will take place on Saturday August 3, 2024 at 12:00 Noon at the Farmingdale Veterans Cemetery in Middlebury. Following the service the family will receive friends, at Middlebury American Legion Post #27, for a time of remembrance.
