Marie Lisa McDuff 

June 26, 1962 - May 8, 2024

Marie (LaBrecque) McDuff, aged 61 yrs. passed away on May 8, 2024 at the RRMC after courageously battling cancer. She was born on June 26, 1962 in Bangor ME, to the late Joseph and Constance LaBrecque. Marie married Larry McDuff on May 14, 1983 in Brandon’s St. Mary’s Church.  She and Larry made their home in Pittsford, VT their entire married life.

Marie was a nurse at the RRMC for thirty years and then continued her nursing career as a professor in the Nursing Program at Castleton State University for ten years.

Marie is predeceased by her parents Joseph and Constance LaBrecque, parents in-law Gaston and Pauline McDuff, brother Joseph LaBrecque, brothers-in-law Deacon Gary Griffin and Stephen Wheeler. She is survived by her husband Larry McDuff, sons Andrew and partner Chris Ake and Marc McDuff, her brothers Michael LaBrecque and wife Brenda, Steven LaBrecque and wife Margaret, her sisters Mary Jo Wheeler, Theresa LaBrecque, Doreen LaBrecque and Andrea Leonard. Also, sisters-in-law Claudia LaBrecque, Jeannine Griffin and Nicole McDuff, brothers-in-law Jean McDuff, Pierre McDuff and wife Julie, and many nieces and nephews.

Per Marie’s request there will be no calling hours. The funeral Mass, officiated by Father Maurice Moreau, will be held at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Pittsford at 11:00am on May 14, 2024.  A reception will be held at the St. Alphonus Parish Hall following the funeral. The private family burial will be held prior to the funeral at 10:00am at the  St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Brandon. In  lieu of flowers Marie would like donations to be given to the Foley Cancer Center, 160 Allen St. Rutland, VT 05701.
