Lesa Jean Pratt, age 62, passed peacefully on January 28, with family by her side, at Rutland Regional Hospital.
Lesa was born in Rutland, Vt on June 15, 1962. She was the daughter of Stewart and Brenda (Stearns) Hobbs, she grew up Forest Dale and received her early education in local Brandon schools. She graduated from Otter Valley Union High School, class of 1980. She began her working career at Brandon Training School.
She afterwards worked as a Para Educator in the Special Education Dept. at Mary Hogan in Middlebury and at Otter Valley Union High School in Brandon. For the next 20 years she worked as a Para Educator at the Hannaford Career Center
Until she was forced to retire. She was an avid Gardner and Reader, but her family was her whole life and love.
Surviving is her husband, John, 2 sons, Micah Ira Pratt of E. Middlebury, and Andrew Jonathan Pratt of Cornwall; 1 daughter, Emily Elizabeth Pratt of Hartford, VT; 2 brothers, Steward “Chuck” Hobbs of Cornwall, Gary Hobbs of New Haven, and Thomas Hobbs of Forest Dale; 1 sister, Debbie Williams of Cornwall. Also surviving are 2 grandchildren.
Private Services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are by Miller & Ketcham of Brandon.
