GOSHEN:
Jeanne Meyer of Goshen, Vermont passed away peacefully on February 6, 2026 after an extended period at Rutland Hospital. Born on March 20,1965 at Rutland Hospital, Jeanne grew up at her Grandparents home on Country Club Road. She attended Brandon Schools and graduated from Otter Valley Union High School. During her younger years, she and her older sister Andrea were avid horse lovers and spent many happy times at Skys the Limit horse camp in Orwell, Vt. There she met and became very close friends with Dave and Connie Tupper and spent many holidays with them. Due to a work accident, Jeanne lost the use of her legs, though you wouldn’t have known it from her spirit and smile. Despite her adversities, Jeanne was recognized for her infectious smile and love of life driving around in her Mini Cooper. Her happiest times were sitting on the porch of her late cousin, Jeff Dunshee’s farmhouse in Orwell, visiting her many friends. She was always kind, generous in spirit and eternally optimistic, and loved animals.
Jeanne is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Norma (Dunshee) Meyer and sister Andrea (Andy). Her partner Ron Richards and cousins Jeff Dunshee, Mary Anne (Dunshee) Lawley, and Stephen Ketcham. Surviving are her best friend Rhonda Spooner and cousins, Bob Dunshee, Nancy Jenkins, Paula (Jenkins) LaRose and Suzanne Jenkins, Laurie (Ketcham) Rudloff, Ken Johnson and Joanne (Johnson) Schmidt.
The graveside committal service and burial will take place, at a later date, in the family lot, at Greenwood Cemetery in Bristol.
Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers may be made, in her memory to; Rutland County Humane Society, 765 Stevens Road, Pittsford, VT 05763.
Arrangements by Miller & Ketcham of Brandon.
