Jacqueline A. Keeler, age 95, passed away on January 27, 2024 at her home in Farmington, NH.
Jacqueline or “Jackie” was born in Attleboro, MA on October 1, 1928, the daughter of Charles and Doris Johnson. She grew up in Mansfield, MA and graduated from Mansfield High School in 1946. Jackie married Walter B. Keeler of Norwood, MA on October 22, 1949 in Attleboro, MA. They moved to Lunenburg, MA in 1956 where they made a home for 31 years and raised their son and daughter. A warm, loving, kind woman, with a great sense of humor, Jackie enjoyed being a homemaker, using her many creative abilities and talents to make clothes for her children and items for her home, while also volunteering in her church and community. She was active in the Lunenburg community, taking leadership positions and teaching Sunday School in the United Parish of Lunenburg, MA. She worked in the Assessor’s Office in the Lunenburg Town Hall for several years during the 1980s, from which she retired in 1987. In 1988, Jackie and Walt moved to Vermont, residing in Middlebury and then Brandon, VT. Walter passed away in 2017 and in 2020, Jackie moved with her children to Farmington, NH where she lived at home until her death.
She is survived by son Dwight D. Keeler and his wife Deborah; daughter Jo Ann E. Keeler; grandchildren Elizabeth Keeler Monteiro and her husband, Mark; Austin Levesque-Keeler and his wife Ashley; and 3 great-grandsons. Donations may be made in her memory to the United Parish of Lunenburg, MA or Cornerstone VNA of Rochester, NH.
A celebration of life service is planned for October 19, 2024 at 2 pm at the United Parish of Lunenburg, MA.
