Gloria Rae (Bruso) Waite

BRANDON:

Gloria Rae Waite, 74 passed away Wednesday February 12, 2025 at her home in Brandon. She was born in Rutland, VT September 27, 1950 the daughter of Ray and Theresa (Flaherty) Bruso. In her younger years Gloria had lived in San Diego, CA before returning to Vermont where she had attended Rutland High School. 

She had worked at Village Pizza in Brandon and the Kong Chow Restaurant in Rutland. She spent most of her working career assembling micro-chips for government application.

She loved fishing, camping, playing cards and going to the casino, she never forgot her dog Jesse, the puppy love of her life.

Surviving is her son Robert, and his wife Christina; 3 Brothers, Richard Bruso, Las Vegas, William Bruso, Colorado Springs, and Thomas Colomb of Rutland; 3 sisters, Susan Colomb Batease of Rutland, Jeannie Colomb of Rutland and Judy Fischer- Colomb of Florida. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren(Christopher Forgette, Amanda and Derrick Thieme,  Richard and Jessica Waite) 6 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son Richard, daughter Tammy, husband Donald J. Waite and her brother Dan.

The Memorial service will be held on Saturday March 1, 2025 at 11 am, at the Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home, Brandon.  The Rev. Maurice Moreau, pastor Our lady of Good Help, St. Marys, Brandon will officiate.  Private interment will take place at a later date.
