Eunenie Colleen Bailey, age 74, passed peacefully May 17, 2025, at Rutland Regional Medical Center.
Eunenie was born in Burlington on March 17, 1951. She was the daughter of George and Elizabeth (Gregoire) Wilcox. She grew up in Shoreham where she received her early education and graduated from Shoreham Academy class of 1969. She began her working career at Brandon Coils in assembly work. She later worked as a nurse’s aide at Brandon Training School until their closing in 1993. Afterwards continued working, as a home care provider for several years before retiring. She enjoyed camping, watching crime shows on T.V. especially NCIS, and old westerns.
Surviving is her husband; Norman Bailey, Jr of Brandon; whom she married Dec. 31, 1973 in Shoreham, one son; Brian J. Bailey of Brandon, two daughters; Dawn Thompson of Brandon and Tamara Bailey of Orwell, two brothers; George Wilcox of Shoreham and Dwayne Wilcox (Cynthia) of Florida. 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 3 great, great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews & cousins also survive her. She was predeceased by her first husband; Arthur Cousineau who was killed in an automobile accident in May 1970, and her sister Dawn Elaine Wilcox.
A gathering “In Celebration of Her Life” will take place on June 29, 2025 at 1 PM, at the Brandon American Legion Post #55. Rev. Sara Rossigg, pastor of Brandon Congregational Church will officiate. Following the ceremony the family will receive friends, for a time of remembrance until 3 PM.
