Elsie (Wagner) Mohan

Elsie Mohan, age 88, passed away Friday, May 21, 2021, at Winter Green North Residential Care in Brandon.

Mrs. Mohan was born in Czechoslovakia on February 22, 1933. April 5, 1952, she married Norman L. Mohan in Germany. Following Mr. Mohan’s Honorable Discharge in July 1952 she came to Vermont with her husband. Mrs. Mohan had worked at the Brandon Training School for over 50 years. She retired as a supervisor, when the school closed in 1993. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and was a former member of the Catholic Daughters. She enjoyed crafts, sewing and gardening.

She is survived by 2 nieces’; Patricia Aldridge and Ilona Wagner, her Guardian; Melinda Currier and her care provider; Katie Perry. She was predeceased by her husband Oct.7, 1990.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 28, 2021, at 11 AM, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Brandon. Rev. Maurice Moreau, pastor will be the celebrant. The graveside committal service and burial will follow in the family lot, at Forest Dale Cemetery. Following the committal service friends are invited for a reception at St. Mary’s Church parish hall.

Friends may call at the Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home in Brandon on Thursday, May 27, 2021, from 2-4 PM.
