ROCHESTER, VT:

Dora Elizabeth Klofach, age 88, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2022, at her home in Rochester.

Dora was born in Chester, PA, on August 5, 1933. She was the daughter of Ludwig and Hazel (Willever) Grave’. She grew up in Kutztown and Easton, PA and graduated from Easton High School. She spent the following 2 years in Europe, traveling through France and Italy, with her uncle and aunt, as he completed engineering projects for Ingersol Rand of Easton, PA. Returning to the USA she began a career with Bell Telephone Company of Pennsylvania, where she became business office supervisor, and later a quality control expert. She also worked as the personal secretary for the president of Heico Chemical Company, located in Delaware Water Gap, PA, and finally as the secretary for the Commissioner of Agriculture for the State of Vermont. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, and had also served the president of the Pocono Mountains Hospital Auxiliary, as well as being a member of many organizations in the Pocono Mountain Area.

She assisted her husband in the operation of the Richard J. Klofach Funeral Home in Stroudsburg, PA.

She traveled through her life to all the countries in South America, including visiting Easter Island, and most of the nations of Europe.

In addition to Richard J. Klofach; her husband of 64 years; she is survived by 2 sons; Craig J. Klofach of Rochester and Erich B. Klofach & his wife Carrie of Longmont, CO and her granddaughter; Lauren Klofach presently a student the University of Alabama. Several cousins in various locations in the country also survive her. She proudly loved several exchange students who lived in her home from Brazil, Russia and South Korea.

A private graveside committal service and burial will take place, at a later date in the Bingo Cemetery in Rochester.
