Diane Lynn Forrest Kalinowski, died July 24, 2025, at the age of 53 at UVM Medical Center in Burlington, VT.
Diane was born at Rutland Regional Medical Center on December 17, 1971, to Irene “Geraw” and Gary Forrest Sr. She spent her childhood between Forestdale, Leicester, and New Haven Vermont.
Diane is survived by her beloved daughter Olivia, her honorary second daughter (niece) Ashley (Nick) and Ryan her great nephew, her father Gary Forrest, Sr. (Jeanne), her sisters Linda (Steve) and Ginger and brothers Fernand Jr. (Sherri) and Gary Jr, many nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles and Bob & Sue Kalinowski, her “forever in-laws”. She was predeceased by her mother Irene and brother Bernard. Diane started her first career as a waitress at Fire & Ice Restaurant in Middlebury, VT and her second career as a beloved pharmacy tech at Rite-Aid/Walgreens in Bristol/Middlebury, then permanently in Brandon where she spent over 20 years. She loved her daughter above everything, and they would spend time going on car rides, picnics, watching tv with their overly loved cats Cleo and Arya, going to the beaches in Maine. She loved to go fishing with her sister Ginger and taking rides in her brother Jr’s old corvette. Recently, Diane had started taking care of all the feral cats in the neighborhood. Feeding them (with help from donations) and worked with the Brandon Feral program (Mei Mei Brown) to get them trapped, fixed, and if possible, adopted to their forever homes.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 10 AM, at the Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home in Brandon. The graveside committal service and burial will follow in the family lot, at Forest Dale Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 5-7 PM.
