David Charles Grimes

Proctor, VT

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Charles Grimes unexpectedly at his home in Proctor on November 5, 2025 at the age of 68.

David was born January 20, 1957 the oldest son of Charles and Rachel Grimes. David graduated from Proctor High School class of 1976 and continued to trade school where he became a master plumber. He had worked at the Cortina Inn for several years and Gilmore Home Center for 6 years. He afterwards worked for New England Air Systems in Williston for 20 years  and had also owned and operated his own business. He later volunteered at Fair Haven Concerned.  

In November of 1983 he married the love of his life Pauline and the following year they had a daughter, Jennifer. David always the devoted husband caring  for Pauline till her passing in 2019. 

David was pre deceased,  by his Father Charles Grimes and his wife Pauline. 

David was survived by his Mother Rachel Grimes, his daughter Jennifer ( husband Maynard White) and his three brothers Stephen ( wife Joan), Philip( wife Chrissy) and Jeffery. As well as many nieces and nephews. 

A graveside committal service and internment will take place at Pine Hill cemetery, Brandon, VT in the Spring.
