Connie (Taylor) Ausherman

Connie Ausherman, age 77, passed peacefully March 8, 2025, at the home of her son in Brandon.

Connie was born in Jackson, Mississippi, on January 1, 1948. She was the daughter of Everett and Katherine (Vaughn) Taylor. She grew up in Crystal Springs, MS where she received her early education and graduated from Crystal Springs High School, class of 1966. She furthered her education at Copiah-Lincoln Community College, where she earned her bachelor’s degree. She later moved to North Carolina where she worked in the education field, and drove school buses for many years. She has been a resident of Brandon since September of 2024. She enjoyed church activities, baking, quilting, and crocheting.

She is survived by her mother, Katherine (Vaughn) Taylor, of Crystal Springs, MS; her son, Ray Lingle, III and his spouse Brian Green; with whom she shared a home, 2 sisters; Jeannie Berry of Florence, MS and Janie Comeaux of Ventress.  She was predeceased by her husband Robert Ausherman.

A private memorial service “In Celebration of Her Life” will take place, at a later date.
