MIDDLEBURY:
Barbara Agnes Wade, age 86, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, with her loving family by her side.
Barbara was born in Worcester, MA on April 16, 1936. She was the daughter of Earl and Bronia (Maslowski) Anderson. She grew up in Worcester (MA) where she received her early education and graduated from Commerce High School, class of 1954. November 17, 1956, she married Malcolm Brown Wade, in Worcester. They moved to Middlebury in 1966, where they raised their 4 children. She was very active at Valley Bible Church of which she and Malcolm were part of the founding members. She loved to entertain her church family and all her children’s friends. After her children were grown, she spent much of her time caring, for her elderly parents. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. We would like to express our gratitude to her grandson; Joshua Wade, for taking such good care of her for the last few years.
She is survived by her daughter; Brenda Wade and her fiancé Bobby Volk of Waterville, VT, her son Scott Wade and his wife Angie of Middlebury, her son Chuck Wade of Sudbury, her daughter Susan Demers and her husband Paul of Concord, VT. Also 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband; Malcolm on January 24, 2007, her brother; Earl Anderson, Jr and a grandson Ricky Beebe.
Sunday, January 29, 2023, refreshments will be served at 12:00 noon and “A Celebration of Her Life” will began at 1 PM, at Valley Bible Church in East Middlebury. Rev. Edward Wheeler, pastor will officiate. A private graveside committal service and burial will take place, at a later date in Farmingdale Cemetery in Middlebury.
