SHOREHAM:
Albert David Peltier, age 96, passed away Monday, December 9, 2024 at Slate Valley Nursing Home in Granville, NY.
Albert was born in Shoreham on February 20, 1928. He was the son of Berton and Florence (Goyette) Peltier. He grew up in Shoreham where he received his education. He enjoyed farm work in his earlier years. He was a veteran having served in the Army of occupation in Germany. Following his Honorable Discharge, he returned home and began his career, as a truck driver. He spent most of his life with Goddard Trucking in Castleton and later for Merrill Fuel in Burlington. He was very proud of having driven for 3 1/2 million miles with no accidents. Following his retirement from trucking he flipped houses of the next 18 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by one daughter; Shari Peltier of Lenox, MA, and 2 sisters; Pearl Parent of Shoreham and Dorothy Hamel of Windsor. 2 granddaughters, several nieces, nephews & cousins also survive him
The graveside committal service and burial, with Military Honors, will take place on Friday June 13, 2025 at 12 Noon in the family lot, at St. Genevieve Cemetery in Shoreham
