BRANDON:

Sally Ann Gelhaar Faber, age 86, died on Friday, December 20,2019.

Born in Montclair, NJ, she was the daughter of Harold and Florence Gelhaar. She was a
1953 graduate of Temple University with a degree in Dental Hygiene. In addition to her
dental profession, she founded Ms. Wallpaper, a home wallpaper-hanging service, and
Sally Sews, a home furnishings design and fabrication firm, which she managed for 40
years while raising three children. In 1989 she, along with her husband, acquired,
restored and managed Land's End, a 19th century family compound of four cottages on
Lake George within the Adirondack Park
.
The property was made available for others to
rent as means for funding the restoration. Preservation of the natural beauty of the
Land's End environment coupled with the ability for others to enjoy this environment
recreationally were goals of their ownership

She leaves her husband of 66 years, William Alden Faber, two children, Jeffrey Reid
Faber and Linda Colburn Faber, son-in-law Steve Grober and six grandchildren,
Christopher William Faber, Ryan Reid Faber, Elaine Marie Hennedy Muriale, Jessica
Ann Hennedy, Matthew Charles Hennedy and Alden Danielle Grober
,
along with several
great grandchildren. She was predeceased by daughter Susan Grenelle Faber Grober
.

A memorial service at the Brandon Congregational Church is planned for the Spring with
date and time to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial gift may be made to the Brandon Congregational Church
or to a cause of your choice.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home in
