Richard A. Rowe, age 51, died Sunday morning, at his home in Brandon, following a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

 

Mr. Rowe was born in Proctor on February 21, 1968. He was the son of Richard W. and Theresa (Gearwar) Rowe. He grew up in Brandon where he received his early education and attended Otter Valley Union High School. Following school, he worked for several years on the Ketcham farm in Sudbury. He later worked at Vallincourt Tree Service and also did masonry work with Greg Harris. He joined the staff at Vermont Tubbs and worked, as a machine operator, for the next 17 years. He was forced to retire due to a disability in 2010. He loved his motorcycles, dirt bikes and 4-wheelers. He had also done small engine repair. He had been an avid hunter and fisherman.

 

He is survived by his wife; Darcy (Currier) Rowe of Brandon; whom he married in Forest Dale, on December 5, 1988, 1 son; Jason A. Rowe, his mother; Theresa Gearwar Rowe and his father Richard W. Rowe, and a brother; John W. Rowe and his wife, Michelle all of Brandon. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many cousins, also survive him.

 

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2019, at 2 PM, at the Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home in Brandon. The Rev. Ken Bevan, pastor of the Brandon United Methodist Church will officiate. The graveside committal service and burial will follow, in the family lot, at Pine Hill Cemetery.

Following the ceremony the family will receive friends, at the Brandon Inn for a time of remembrance

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. Death is never welcomed, but it seems to be something we all are accustomed too. Please be assured that the bible promises that God will soon undo death (Revelation 21:3,4) and he promises in John 5:28,29 to resurrect our loved ones right here on earth. I hope these promises as well as your wonderful memories bring you comfort.
