FOREST DALE:
Faie Lorraine Shepard, age 80, passed away Friday, November 30, 2018 at the Mountain View Center, Rutland. She was born in Ludlow, Vt, on July 23, 1938. The daughter of Fred and Annabelle (Hayes) Snow. She grew up in Brandon, where she received her early education and was graduated from Brandon High School, class of 1956. Although primarily a homemaker she worked as a retail clerk for a period of time for Sea Shell City in Leicester and the Fashion shop in Rutland. She served as an adviser and volunteer for the Addison County Fair, as an art director. She loved to travel to Maine, Colorado and many other states. She was an avid reading and was particularly interested in Early American and Civil War History.
Surviving are daughters Cathleen L. Thompson, Naples, Maine and Kelly A. Shepard, Whitehall, NY. Also surviving are brothers; Frederick Snow, Rutland, David R. Snow, Forestdale, and Jonathan C. “Bud” Snow, Brandon, and 2 sisters; Margaret A. Theriault, Leicester, and Nancy R. Snow, Santa Monica, Ca. 2 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive her. She was predeceased by her husband; Eugene Shepard in 1998; whom she married in Pittsford on November 5, 1956, her son; Patrick S. Shepard, in 1981 a brother Michael O. Snow and a sister Barbara E. Williams.
The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at 11 AM, at the Miller and Ketcham Funeral Home in Brandon. A private graveside committal service and burial will follow in Forest Dale Cemetery.
Friends may call, at the funeral home on Friday December 7, 2018, from 4 to 6 PM.
