SALISBURY:

 

Brent Blair LaFave, age 54, died Friday, September 9, 2016, at his home in Salisbury.

 

Mr. LaFave was born in Middlebury on March 29, 1962. He was the son of Larry and Eleanor (Blair) LaFave. He grew up in Vergennes and Leicester where he received his early education and was graduated from Otter Valley Union High School, class of 1980. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for L. F Carter, Inc. from 1989 until 2003. He later work in the family business; Vergennes Auto, for several years. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his “Boys) Matthew, Christopher and Chandler. He had been a member of the Neshobe Sportsman Club and St. Paul’s Masonic Lodge #25 in Brandon.

 

Surviving is his wife; Kimberley Gale LaFave of Salisbury; whom he married in Salisbury on October 15, 1983 one daughter, Samantha LaFave-Sumner of Benson and a son; Justin LaFave of East Middlebury and his brother; Scott LaFave of Pittsford. His brothers and sisters children, being his nieces, nephews & cousins also survive him. He was predeceased by his parents.

 

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2016, at 10 AM at the Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home in Brandon. The Rev. William Bartholomew, pastor of the Brandon Congregational Church will officiate. A private graveside committal service and burial will follow in Prospect Cemetery in Vergennes.

 

Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 13, from 6-8 PM.

 

Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers may be made, in his memory to; Addison County Home Health & Hospice, P.O. Box 754, Middlebury, VT 05753 or to Salisbury Volunteer Fire Department, P.O Box, Salisbury, VT 05769.

 

Arrangements are under the direction of the Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home in Brandon.
