SUDBURY:

Christa Quenneville Little, 40, of Sudbury, died on July 21, 2016, 11 years after being diagnosed with breast cancer.  She was born March 29, 1976 in Middlebury, Vt. Christa married Travis Little on October 20, 2007.  She was formerly a Student Assistance Counselor at Fair Haven Union High School.

Christa graduated from Otter Valley Union High School in 1994, received her bachelor’s degree from Plymouth State College, and her master’s degree from the College of St. Joseph’s in Rutland.

Christa had an incredible zest for life.  Her disease never defined her; she lived every day with enjoyment and anticipation of what was next.  2016 was her “Year of Travel” and she took trips to Jamaica, Key West, and Washington DC.

Christa was an inspiring fundraiser for Making Strides and led a team for several years.  She was an avid runner when her health allowed and always enjoyed camping at her beloved Lake George.

Christa is survived by her husband Travis, her parents David and Gale Quenneville of Whiting, her brother Andy and his wife Beth, her sweet nephews Quinn and Peyton of Brandon, and maternal grandparents Ronald and Claire Stevens of Cornwall.

She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents Roger and Claudette Quenneville her Uncle David Stevens and her cousin Ashley Quenneville.

Her family is deeply indebted to Dr. Unger and his staff and to Addison County Home Health and their fabulous nurses.  Christa’s Celebration of Life will be held at the VFW in Middlebury on Wednesday morning at 11:00.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the David Stevens Family Charity Golf Tournament in care of Gale Quenneville, 206 S Main St. Whiting, VT 05778.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home in Brandon.
