Beverly Mary Lent, age 87, died Monday, May 02, 2016, at her home in Brandon.

 

Mrs. Lent was born in Forestdale on March 30, 1929. She was the daughter of George and Emma (Ryder) Hall. She grew up in Forestdale where she received her early education and had attended Brandon high School. She worked for several years at Newton 7 Thompson in Forestdale. She moved to Springfield, MA where she entered the real estate sales business. She returned to Vermont in 1961 and employment with Buxton Corporation manufacturing wallets. April 21, 1962 she married Ron Lent in Brandon. Together they owned and operated Lent Business Machines and later R & B Sports Cards. Mr. Lent predeceased her November 22, 2008. She retired in 1989.

 

Surviving is her son; Douglas Westcott of Brandon, 2 daughters; Cheryl Hack of Brandon and Deborah Goodnow of Barstow, MD. 18 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews & cousins also survive her. In addition to her husband she was also predeceased by a son Michael Westcott, a daughter Sharon Timmons, her sister, Vivian Buzzell and 3 brothers; George Hall, Arthur Hall and Duane Hall.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 7, 2016, at 10 AM, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Brandon. The Rev. Vincent Onunkwo will be the celebrant. A private burial will take place, at a later date. Following the mass the family will receive friends in the church parish hall, for a time of remembrance.

 

Friends may call at the Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home in Brandon on Friday, May 6, 2016 from 6-8 PM, where a vigil service will be conducted at 7:45 PM.

 

The family would like to thank all the staff at Rutland Area Visiting Nurse & Hospice for the support, care and compassion show to our mom.
